Why would you upsample from 16K to 44K? All that was done was increase file size of a lossy source. There is no improvement in sound quality.

Here it is...
I tracked, fixed some cuts and upsampled 16kHz to 44khz in case you want to burn to CDR.
Don't expect high quality audio in a 16kHz source
original 16.000 Hz
Duration : 2:05:59.560 (120 952 960 samples)
Sample rate : 16000 Hz
Channels : 2
Bits per sample : 16
Bitrate : 512 kbps
Codec : PCM
Encoding : lossless
upsampled to 44.100 Hz
Duration : 2:04:25.722 (329 238 349 samples)
Sample rate : 44100 Hz
Channels : 2
Bits per sample : 16
Bitrate : 1411 kbps
Codec : PCM
Encoding : lossless

Because Red Book format is 16/44.
Some people still burn to CDR and they don't really care if it is lossless or lossy.
I know you don't improve sound quality upsampling.
Original file was 461 MB WAV
Mine is 499 MB FLAC.
The difference is 38 MB, but I guess you didn't notice that.
You just entered here to write negative comments.
You're a funny guy.
