It does remain to be seen. Hasn't happened in 11 years (over 750 shows) and in that case I only missed one song. Have recorded shows next to security and they had no idea and have had the person next to me thrown out for taking pictures/video at King Crimson and security had no idea either.

I have recorded much more than that. That was the last time I was caught in the act. Definitely have stories. I have been told I should write a book on it but that would give up my secrets which would make it harder for others. Getting into Royal Albert Hall unsearched through the main entrance at Royal Albert Hall the day after the Manchester bombing with enhanced security is a good story. Getting gear into LA and Vegas was an absolute breeze and once inside it was all easy.

One friend suggested I leave my gear at the hotel and I told her I didn't go to London to see Clapton, I went to record Clapton. He did not attend any Stones shows this tour. We were supposed to carpool to LA together but he could not make it. We were in communication with him while in LA with a couple of other friends who were taping and that was the conclusion based upon what was observed.

As far as wrestling with pigs or dogs, someone has to clear the drain so the pig slop doesn't go everywhere. If the toilet is plugged with crap you need a plumber or plunger otherwise it just overflows everywhere.

Enough with that visual, I need to start cooking now.

Like Daspy said, I didn't hit any shows this tour. I do know folks who taped IEMs this tour, and whhile there's a change on their frequency range on a few feeds, it can still be recorded.

Well, if you believe that someone with 750 recorded shows in 11 years, considering the free time it needs, not to speak of the costs for tickets and travel expenses even across the continents, is an amateur who's doing it all for free, you must be pretty naive - looks more like a well-oiled underground business enterprise in my book.

However, he and his "group" are free to do or don't do whatever they want in my book, what I can't stand (and this is where this controversy started) is this arrogant "high-horse" stance to constantly dangle with the carrots in form of Stones recordings he/his group has/have, but "unfortunately" not being able to share because, oh so many years ago someone oh so bad from this board dared to "remaster" some of "their" oh so sacrosanct work, which morally and legally in itself is nothing more than the result of, let's face it, illegal activity.

perhaps maybe it's possible but maybe he's independtly wealthy or he and his fellow tapers help cover each other's cost and share there recordings with each other or he has other tricks to get it done i don't know

Well, I have been listening to Stones Bootlegs since I was 14. Untill the year 2000 I had to go to markets to get the Bootlegs. Since 20 years we are spoiled with free Bootlegs available at forums like this.
I enjoy many of these free recordings and I am gratefull about it. Thanks to everybody, who takes the recording gear to the shows, records the shows instead of just enoying them, works on recordings like splitting, EQing and more.
And finaly sharing it for free with everybody!
