The Rolling Stones - Rotterdam Rehearsals 1973_Acid Project 067

Hi Stones fanatics,

This one was real hard to do. It was recorded from outside, on the street, while the band was rehearsing with the open windows. There was too much street noise, talking and various clicks and pops, which i deleted or cleaned as much as possible.
I worked on a version by Silkcut1978, which was the most complete and had the best sound, although it was running at wrong speed (too fast).
I did phase, level and speed correction. This time i also used a SSL compressor (just a little bit) to brig up some bass. In the end i did new EQ. I did not want to use noise reduction, because i hate it.
There is some great playing by the band here, which was almost unlistenable on all previous versions (at least for me).

Yeah Cpt Acid is so generous he tries to save the ailing Japanese boot industry all by himself.
He reworks the tracks, provides the artwork, so the clueless guys from the labels just have to DL the material here and send an email to the Chinese CD pressing plant! ><

(just kidding of course).

On a more serious tone this slice of music gives us a glimpse of what the band's sound could have become in 75 or 76 had MT stayed. A lead-guitar heavy sound with back-up provided by Preston. In other words the band might have taken a prog turn drived by 2 virtuosos (MT and Preston). With Keith pushed to the side?

I am not at home so I can not download and listen to your version before few days.
I started working on these recordings more than 2 years ago, trying to delete a maximum of parasitic noises without using a filter. After several weeks, saturated, I had ended up giving up.
My congratulations to this project, which I'm looking forwards to discover your improvements!
