I would think anyone with equipment that could improve on my own recordings would be welcome but then again I only record snippets for my own amusement and sometimes upload to YouTube for all to enjoy.
I guess it's true, no good deed goes unpunished.

Remasters without asking tend to result in tapers not sharing their recordings.
This happened last tour.

It seems he is, or it`s just a warning for the future.....i have just answered to this comment on Dime. Whoever taped this show did a mighty fine job, but people should understand that bands are recording albums in studio and after that they give it to mastering engineer to do his work before it is released. There is a reason things are done that way.

Why do some tapers get in a knot when someone remixes their recording?
Provided the "remixer" gives a nod to the original taper, I don't see a problem with it?
The Stones have played "Blinded By Love" ONCE on tour.
A friend of mine gave me a tape of the complete show in 1997.
I convinced the person who gave me the tape that this performance was too important, historically, to sit on it.
With some prodding, he agreed.
Now, I could have kept this tape to myself but I'm glad that anyone who wants to hear that show can.
I get frustrated at tapers who sit on what they have. If you can release it without harming anyone? Get it out there!!
