Hello friends,
All of us "armchair archivists" work to understand the history and progression of our favorite songs. With the dawn of the 21st century, I admitted there is now more than I can ever wrap my tongue around.
But I can confirm that this version of "Alright Charlie" was not in the Vigatone collection. That collection was 4 tapes only and ALL of that material is now coming through these "Songwriting Sessions".
Concerning the "Ivy League" on FFO, I have what everyone has. And I think the early "YGMR" versions I am familiar with are on Brew or Stew.

Had forgotten about the Stew version...so I went back to it and noticed that the "DAT ID" announcement of the title sounds like it's Keith ! The only one of the batch as far as I can tell ;-)

well i guess with the posting of the voodoo writing sessions we can assume that glimmerman was given more than 4 tapes by vigotone and this must have come off of one of them
got to wonder why this didn't make the cut on brew & stew maybe another set was planned but never materialized for whatever reason
question to glimmerman do you also have the version of ivy league that was on fully finished outtakes or the early version of you got me rocking that was shared shotly after ivy league was

Yeah you'd think this would have been an interesting version for Vigotone to "release". Hopefully Glimmerman will be able to "find" more good stuff he can share in due course ;-)

i'm aware thanks
i was trying to inform glimmerman since i asked him if he had the new version of ygmr from that posting in the tapes he got from vigotone in the 90's and he resoponded that the only early versons of ygmr he has heard where on voodoo brew and stew which i took to mean he may not have heard these yet so i add a link to it on youtube to see if that was so
