OT: Led Zeppelin - Jesus_Live in Minneapolis `75 [EVSD 1280-1281]_CaptainAcidRemaster
Posted by: CaptainAcid ()

Hi Led Zepp fans,

i was asked to fix this one from a friend, so i did it.
I did phase and level correction and new EQ.
Also, i have patched 2 incomplete tracks with audience recording ("The Wanton Song" and "No Quarter"), now it is complete.

Enjoy

Thank you!

"i have patched 2 incomplete tracks with audience recording ("The Wanton Song" and "No Quarter"), now it is complete."

Yes! This is a world-exclusive then! Even the Dime regulars were not that fast at patching the sb to make a complete show! thumbs up

"Comments: A true Holy Grail here! Almost complete show, captured on mediocre quality audience tape and as superb sounding albeit much incomplete soundboard. Robert's voice isn't damaged by flu yet and the rest of the band is in a very good condition. It is amazing how great Jimmy played with only three fingers as he had a very short time to work out how to play all those songs in such way!

Sick Again has some particularly unqiue soloing. His damaged finger is hindering him a bit on The Song Remains The Same and The Rain Song. When The Levee Breaks a bit of a mess. Not easy to recreate the magic of the studio version. It has a nice heavy echo on the drums. The slide guitar parts are not quite together and they are not in tune, however. This has to be the best Wanting Song that they ever played live. Such a shame the soundboard is cut.

The whole show and performance is such a stark contrast to what came only shortly after."

Zeeeep!
Thank you.
It's a very nice atmosphere that is different from the performance after February, it's not distracting but a cohesive and polite performance, but it's not boring.
It's an impression that I can't think of the same '75 tour.
"When the Levee Breaks" is cool.
There are some historical sources of Zep that have already been distributed that I would like the captain to modify.

"There are some historical sources of Zep that have already been distributed that I would like the captain to modify."

Give me some suggestions, which one would you like? (if you give me the link for download, that would help)

Thank you for your prompt reaction.
Linked here is the 1st generation of Led Zeppelin's Aud-Rec, which is so famous that many bootlegger labels have been remastering and it has been selling for a long time, finally unearthed in recent years.
It may have come out as a variety of items than "Nasty Music" in Stones. First of all, I would like to introduce this.

I think there's no much need for mastering. It's alright as is imo.

The plot thickens!

"Led Zeppelin
January 18th, 1975
Met Center
Bloomington, MN, USA
SBD

'Jesus' EVSD source (**with patch filler by Don R.)

Goody Speed/Pitch-adjusted Edition of the EVSD 'Jesus' boot
Audio remastered by dadgad

2 source mix - ledzepfilm source merge

All tracks SBD only unless designated:
(Main) 'Jesus' (EVSD) silvers > wav > flac
**(Don R.) (patching) - SBD/AUD : Cass(M) > wav > flac

Goody's additional lineage:
TLH (WAV) > Audition (Pitch Bender, various amounts; glitches repaired or reduced, dropouts & noises repaired; Channels aligned; some tracking updated) >

The speed/pitch of the source runs a bit fast, averaging between 13-28 cents sharp. That issue has been corrected for this edition.

i have checked this new version. i can say, there was no need for pitch correction, now it is slightly out of tune

Ah... really? cool smiley
I trust your opinion 100% and I won't bother checking who's right or wrong as I think it's a terrible show. Even the Stones' worst gig from the period (May 26, 1976) is better than this one. You might think it's Page 1st gig as a pro. >grinning smiley<

(quietly) honestly... being able to, or claiming one's able to, detect a 13% pitch aberration must have super-powers... Even a piano tuner mustn't be that sensitive. winking smiley
