Recording of overdubs of Moroccan instruments (pipes, perc, dr) with the Master Musicians Of Joujouka feat. Bachir Attar.
39b - ‘The Stones In Morocco’ (6’38) (see below)
To finish this project, here is a selection of sequences taken from the BBC report 'The Stones in Morocco'.
This report can be found on the internet; especially the version posted by Deltics (R.I.P.) is a way of paying homage to him.
[
www.youtube.com]
Note: I have only kept the sequences where the Stones appear; where they are associated with the music and which differ from the official version.
Here are the details of the scenes:
- Seq 1 (0 - 1'12): interview with MJ who presents the project
- Seq 2 (1'12 - 3'25): percussion conducted by MJ
- Seq 3 (3'25 - 4'00): excerpt with “bicycle bells sounds”
- Seq 4 (4'00 - end): in the studio, mixing snippets, MJ playing with the percussionists and ending.
Part IV°] Recent discovery:
Note: the recently appeared "Fully Finished" collection contains a title that matches these sessions. It's called "Giving It Up". As the "reworked" Vol. 3 cd is almost full and I don't want to remake all the covers, I decided to add this title at the end. I made a slightly improved version (40b) that you can place in the Vol 03a (original version)... if you want to keep it on cd-r!
40a - Giving It Up#2 (4’18) (Fully Finished) - more keyboards, shortened version
40b - Giving It up #2 (4’18) (reworked) channel equilibration (5% for left channel), minor treble addition, duplicated.*
* Because of the lack of space on cd n°2, this reworked version is added on cd n°1.
