The TOTP is evidently a live vocals version different from the official LP one. But according to Zentgraf also the promo one (i.e.: the colored one) should be a live vocal prepared on a backing track.
I would conclude that the promovideo audio is the official one.
IMO the promo video has been used for "TOTP", "Beat Club" and maybe other tv shows. TOTP was no live appearance. Sometimes the promo was broadcasted in b/w with live vocals, sometimes as an edit, like in the late 70ies in "The Best Of Beat Club" or colored with the original lp audio, as seen on YT.
I may be wrong, but imo the "TOTP" version is the promo version with live vocals on a prepared backing track.

According to Zentgraf, the promovideo (of Lindsay Hogg or Peter Clifton) was recorded in October 67 and consists of live vocals on prepared backing track.
I tried many times to compare the two versions (video versus LP) but never found any difference.
Anybody has more info about it?

I don't know but to me all these versions sound the same. Also the b&w and coloured videos are the same.
