This release was carefully compiled from the best available sources. There has yet to be a release that collects the best moments from these tapes in one place, from the actual original reels. Many releases, even new ones, are still using cassette dubs and other inferior sources. Sound quality is at an official release level throughout with little to no tape hiss.

Thank you for sharing. Definitely an upgrade on previous releases. Any hint on where we can find more infos on the sessions where these tracks were recorded ?

Haven't A/B'd them but "02 Gimme Shelter (alt vocals)" sounds like the infamous "Keith on vocals" version with a very distorted vocal panned to the left. You have to wonder why Glyn Johns had that on his tapes, if in fact he did ;-)

'locoporweb' uploads a lot of stuff on Guitars101 not only Stones but never gives credits to original uploader!!
He also has uploaded "Fully Finished Studio Outtakes" without credits to me for example.

in brown sugar & gimme shelter i'm some clipping (i think my understanding of sound terminology is limited) or some kind of distortion is anyone else getting this is it a normal part of these tracks from this source or is this a result of a mistake while remastering
