Imo the remark also goes for Walk With Me Wendy.
Could it be from one of the guitarists they auditioned after MT left?

Could be but I can’t place the style. It’s not Wayne or Beck...and Clapton couldn’t have played that...it’s a definite puzzle

I'm having so much trouble trying to pinpoint a date for "Walk With Me Wendy." Sounds like 74/75 to me.

ok so this is so awsome best birthday ever
i have so many questions and ideas think i'll throw them at the wall and see what sticks

ivy league
its hard to think there is anything this well done leftover from the huge amount of the voodoo session we already have could this be something they picked up again for babylon/40 licks

blood red wine
as some one said this sounds about the same as the known version but is it possible its a different mix mick seem more prominent in the mix or am i imagining that

don't lie to me
correct me if i'm wrong but this sounds like a rehearsal maybe from 75-82
perhaps long view farm 81

fast talking slow walking
is this the same version as the know one with more overdubs and different mix
or is this a different version completly either way my favorite so far just wow how hasn't this been finished or released in some fashion in nearly 50 years way better then scarlet or all the rage

is this probaly it for this stuff or are the great gents in japan sitting on more of this if so were did they get this it seem to be way more then some recluse collector could've amassed on old cassettes given the breadth of age for the content, quality of sound and how finished they are can we asume this is something that came to them recently from someone close to the stones vault
either way this has to be the biggest leak of quality material since paris results there is at least one good latter days stones album in here as is

and finally i really hope this gets a quality vinyl release somewhere down the road

Here are my guesses for the dates of each recording:

VOLUME 1

Nobody’s Perfect (MJ Solo Session 1984/87)
Trouble’s A Coming (Emotional Rescue Sessions 1979)
Dreams To Remember (Undercover Sessions 1982)

Fiji Jim (Some Girls Sessions 1977-78)
Eliza Upchink (Undercover Sessions 1982)
Deep Love (Dirty Work Sessions; MJ vocals 1985)
She’s Doing Her Thing (Satanic Sessions; “Dream Pipe” w/vocals 1967)
Putty In Your Hands (Dirty Work Sessions 1985)
Big Truff (Dog Shit) (Undercover Sessions; MJ vocal 1983)
20 Nil (A Bigger Bang Sessions 2004-05)
Tell Her How It Is (“Potted Shrimps” w/new MJ vocals for Exile Reissue 1970/2009)
(You Better) Stop That (Undercover Sessions 1982)
Scarlet (No overdubs 1974)
Walk With Me Wendy (Sticky Fingers Sessions 1970)
Never Make You Cry (Some Girls Sessions 1977-78)
Part Of The Night (Undercover Sessions; “Golden Caddy” w/vocals 1982)
Low Down (Bridges To Babylon Sessions; KR vocals 1997)

VOLUME 2

It’s A Lie (Emotional Rescue Sessions 1979)
I Can’t See No One Else (Dirty Work Sessions 1985)
Not The Way To Go (Emotional Rescue Sessions 1978)
Giving It Up (Steel Wheels Sessions 1989)
Hands Off (Voodoo Lounge Demos 1993)
Built That Way (Black and Blue Sessions 1975)

Flip The Switch (Bridges To Babylon Sessions; KR vocals 1997)

VOLUME 3

Ahhh!! Thank you soooo much!! Listening now, trying to figure out what time period these songs come from as the dates listed on the album art seem to be wrong.

Not an easy task, because original recording dates and dates of overdubs and lead vocals may differ considerably in many cases.

But whatever, this collection will give us food for thought for probably many months to come...

Started listening waiting for a '75 song. And of course is Mick closer to 89. But the quality is gorgeous!

I can tell you that one or two songs are most likely from '75. Some rare gems indeed. This is a fantastic release. I've enjoyed listening to these songs so much!!

20 Nil (Voodoo Lounge Sessions? 1993)

this one sounds very much like an early version of low down (I think also to gotdablouse, if we meant the same song). So I would think it is coming from the B2B sessions...(it sounds that way, or maybe I'm just tricked into thinking it sounds that way, and the embryonic version of low down comes from vl)

Yeah, I can hear that a little bit. I'm also hearing some Love Is Strong with Keith's guitar which is also making me think it's from '93.

"Every Time I Break Her Heart (Undercover Sessions 1982)"

That's incorrect as the song is a "Faraway Eyes" prototype !

That's exactly what I thought but doesn't the production and keyboard sound very similar to Keep It Cool from '82? I totally agree there's a Far Away Eyes prototype in here but at the same time it sounds more like '82 to me. Very odd.

"don´t to lie to me" rolling stones recorded in 1964 and live in 1972 STP tour

but this version are from 1990´s, i can´t heard keith guitar´s

again, e think mick´s solo works, maybe 'wandering spirit' 1993

That Jagger vocal is straight out of the late 70s. Listen to how he sings the word 'baby.'The entire vocal has that slight slur like everything else from that era as well. I date this post Some Girls tour.

And that is totally Keith chugging away underneath, if not definitely in the first solo.

Giving It Up (Steel Wheels Sessions 1989)

It’s sounds later than Some Girls for sure. Less a prototype and more like a recurrence/repeat of Far Away Eyes.

Unlikely, I painstakingly went back to all the known recordings of the songs on the 3CD sets and GIU sounds exactly like the known version, just a shorter edit and maybe a couple of tweeks here and there, 04:18 vs 05:30. This would have been a good candidate for "Memory Hotel" !
