Best of the TV Sessions 1964-1969

I bought this recently and thought it needed sharing. Some recordings a lot of us will already have but some new ones for me. Never heard of the Shiveree show before and first time I have the Ed Sullivan Show rehearsals from 1967 on CD. Some are clearly playback and others playback with live vocal. All dates/info taken from the CD sleeve.

No Captain Acid remastering here, just taken straight from the CD’s.

So do I but there is always something missing. In this case I would have loved it to include London Palladium 1967 and SFTD from the David Frost Show 1968.

I am sorry but to me these tracks sound all bad and somehow overprocessed.

It's weird to me how this release is on the Bear Family website. I thought they only did official releases, but I guess they sell music from other labels too.

Come on Wired, these recordings are 50+ years old and not official releases, so you are not going to get state of the art quality.

Thanks for posting Bol, I think these recordings are great.

It has nothing to do with the age of the tracks. Somebody failed in trying to remaster them somehow. The tracks are available in better quality on other releases.

Is there a release you could recommed with the Tami tracks and David Frost?
