ISO: Recommendations for a DVD Ripper/Doom and Gloom live rip

Hi everybody,

I'd appreciate your help.

I'm looking for recommendation for a DVD ripper.

I like to rip DVDs and make separate files for videos of certain songs.

My latest project is trying to get a perfect Doom and Gloom from Sweet Summer Sun as I think it's the best performance of Doom and Gloom live.

I have a download of Sweet Summer Sun DVD but the sound levels are too high and it's a little distorted. I tried to overdub the sound with the official CD but the CD is longer than the DVD. Doom and Gloom on the DVD must be edited, therefore I cannot match the video with the audio.

So, if there's a great rip of Sweet Summer Sun, I'd love to have it.

The Doom and Gloom rip I'm trying to get is part of a much larger project which will have the best live performances by the Rolling Stones which I'll share once complete. It will take a while,

I'd also like to get a good DVD ripper. The one I've had been using doesn't work with Windows 10.

Thanks,
ExileStones

I really don't rip too much DVDs, but I always use these:

DVD Video Ripper,
DVD Decrypter 3.5.4.0 (free) [www.nsanedown.com]
DVDFab 12.0.0.7 (paid) [www.nsanedown.com]

and for DVD Audio Demux:
DVD Audio Extractor (paid) [www.dvdae.com]

Funny that DVD Decrypter still can be found on download sited.

I thought it was banned from distribution long time ago. Like in 2005. It was ruled by US court that the program is illegal due to fact it cracks the DVD copy-protection feature. In any case that version 3.5.4.0 is the last known stable version.

The crack engine also was used for DVD Shrink. That program was banned too.

This is why it's always a good idea to keep a saved backup copy of the .exe file application so you can install it on a new computer or if something went wrong.

Also useful for those programs that have an unstable new version and that you can no longer download the oldder version. One example utorrent 2.2.1

DVD Shrink is still available:

In my opinion the best DVD ripper.

Other DVD Ripper are MakeMKV or AnyDVD (by RedFox).

Maybe it's the PAL speed-up (4% difference): [en.Wikipedia.org] ?

Yes: large picture of the Rear-Cover (NTSC: fine-print in the lower right corner).

But "Shine A Light" (2008) had PAL and I've tried at that time to replace the DVD-Audio by the CD-Soundtrack - there was indeed a difference due to the speed-up.
