Hi Stones fanatics,
here it is, the new Acid Project. Actually this is where it all started, i mean on collaborations with Falo. With this project i just reccomended Mr. D to do the artwork. I have done the remaster some time ago but never have shared it before. This is different to a DVD sound. I have done the remaster after Falo has finished DVD`s.
I have done phase correction and some EQ. Mr. D did the artwork.If i remember well i also had to cut out some crowd noise, so this can be burned on 2 discs.
For those that don`t know this is Falo Matrix and Captain Acid Remaster !!!

source1: Soundboard (SBD), Exc mono, VGP 085 L.A. Connection
cuts from VGP filled with original video sound from circulating video
source2: Audience Recording Mike Millard (AUD), Exc stereo

Both sources are mixed 75/25, which means:
Left channel: 75% source2 & 25% source1
Right channel:57% source1 & 25% source2
This way, the matrix sounds more fresh and the stereo effect is better

I don´t wanna bother you with technical details right now.

Thanks Captain for this. But sorry I have to say that I like the original version more. Maybe it is my age (> 60) and my ears cannot hear high frequencies so well anymore, maybe it's just my taste...

I don`t know, i did not investigate. It was Falo`s project for DVD, so i believe he did investigate the correct date.

It's always the same question but never trust official announcements from the Stones Camp.
If it is indeed July12th, both Mike Millard & the guys with the super8 video collection from Whores, Cocaine And A Bottle Of Jack must be wrong (the video snippets on this DVD are said to be in the correct concert order.
I definitely do trust premium bootlegers more.

The CDs (not the DVD which I don't know) of "Whores, Cocaine And A Bottle Of Jack" match with the official date of July 12 for the video show. People always said that Empress Valley mixed up the dates, but obviously they did not! And if they had Millard's master tapes it should also be correct because Millard's tapes are 100% labelled correctly by him. Just my thoughts...

That's the point. Not sure what went wrong, I guess some pressing failures or some misunderstanding when handing over the tapes to the pressing factory, whatever, the box completely mislabelled the Millard tapes.
So in the end, the cover infos were wrong and I´m sure Millard knew better which recording was from which show.

I'm on vacation, so I can't list the detailed information about the mislabelling of "Whores". Maybe someone else can link it here, it's circulating among collectors.

Didn't the guy who sent his tapes to the EV label explained here how they messed up? He did, a few years ago.

Definitively not true, they did not completely mislabel the tapes. The 9th and 13th shows are correct, the 11th and 12th are the two in question, if they are correct or mixed up. The only real mistake they made is on the sheet for Disc 4 where they write July 9 instead of 12:

Another major problem of this box set is that they filled up gaps in Millard's tapes with tracks from other shows without declaring it!
