The 1992 Japan shows
This is the fourth part of the series devoted to the Mick Taylor's live concerts in Japan.
A big thanks to my usual partners in crime nzb and Jaap (Stonesmuziekfan) who sent me their versions for these shows and gave critics and advice regarding my work.
Volume 33
08thAugust 1992 – 2nd show
FUKUOKA - Hakata Drum Be-I
8th August 1992 : Fukuoka, Japan, Hakata Drum Be-I (2nd show)
Line-up: MT (gtr, voc)/Jimmy Wood (voc, harm, gtr)/Jimmy King (gtr, bvoc)/ Greg Boaz (bass, bvoc)/David Salinas (dr)
Tracklist:
01 - Intro and tuning
02 - Badmouth Moma
03 - Hoodoo Thing
04 - How It Feels
05 - Shake Your Hips
06 - You Shook Me
07 - You Don't Miss Your Water
08 - Band introduction and encore break
09 - You Gotta Move
10 - Cairo Motel
11 - Outro: closing the tour
Nzb’s version was better but, as for the previous recordings, the de-synchronization of the 2 channels reappeared after “Shake Your Hips”, …but here it’s now corrected without consequence.
Only one little default: “You Gotta Move” was cut in two (probably due to reversing the tape) I reconnected the two parts but some seconds are lost at 2’43.
A very good show to close this 1992 Japan tour with one of the best backing bands that Mick Taylor ever had.
As usual all the infos are taken from the Mick Taylor’s Complete Works Database by Nico Zentgraf: [www.nzentgraf.de]
For the covers I used pics from the great Japanese fanzine “Stone People” (issue #63).
