that is a great sb and if I recall Keith is way up in the mix? Anyway,you can't go wrong with this version but at the time this was newly released I received this and the Vinyl Gang version which I found to be a little bit brighter in my humble
opinion.

Yup, Ronnie nowhere to be found. Great sounding recording sadly you don't get the full picture with Ronnie missing.

The bootleg sounds exactly the same as what I heard front row at the gig.

I have both, and the VGP sounds better than "Paris 98".

The VGP that Mick gave it to the bootlegers, I don't believe. He'd done that 100s of times, if he he'd that kind of mentalitity

Maybe not in 1998 where he was mentally AWOL on most gigs. SO the Twins would have him "removed" from the FOB mix. The good thing is Keef had to assure double duty and he did good.
Check the 1998 "Globen" gig on Crystal Cat : the tape is wonderful but Keef is low in the recording, so you're stuck with Ron's musical "imput". Well the music is awful.

Erik, it seems that he also leaked the pro-shot vid of that night, to a bunch of guys in the French fanclub (incl. one named David) who never circulated it. Rumor? Truth?

@dcba, I only have outsider-guesses-info-don't-have-a-clue, so your opinion is just as good as mine, or even better, Yes, better.

Erik I don't know if my infos are reliable.
Maybe Jagger loved that gig because they managed to sell out this huge 90000 capacity stadium and they were the very 1st musical act to play there (there was a game of power with national "rock" star Johnny Halliday to inaugurate the stadium and Jagger won).

In my opinion the 97/98 tour in general is bad in terms of sound, in many shows Keith is not heard, such as Buenos Aires 98, Winnipeg`97, and in other cases Ronnie is not heard either.

Does anyone know if they changed the sound man on that tour? or were they using or type of equipment?
