I was behind the photographer.
A few days ago I recalled my memories from this show. The first time seeing them, in the 1970s, it was too much to take in, let alone remember.
So, Mick walking on, fanning himself with a piece of paper. His split coconut grin as he walked upstage, turning around.
Chatting with Billy Preston before or after Gimme Shelter.
Keef standing far away from the microphone and wondering why he wasn't standing closer.
"This scarf's in the wrong group." Someone threw a tartan scarf on the stage.
The lights going red during Midnight Rambler. You absolutely have to have seen it in person to know the effect it had.
The opening chords of Brown Sugar, hearing the audience go wild, knowing I knew the song, but not immediately remember what it was.
The water splashing me full on (I was soaked to the skin), and the water was warm.
