Entre nous DAC a fait du super-boulot car certains fichiers du "leak" original avait une sale tête... comme s'ils avaient été un sabotés avant partage. Leur vitesse était pas bonne (ça ça arrive souvent) mais aussi leur tonalité (ce qui ne peut résulter que d'un bidouillage informatique avec Audacity ou un truc équivalent).
DAC a tout remis à plat!

In recent years, around the release of the deluxe version of Sam Girls and Exile on Main Street, outtakes from the brewery have been actively released, but this sound source is a rough audition of those unreleased sound sources. I'd venture to say they'll "borrow" the Woodstock'78 upgrade, the new very nice Wembley'90 tape and the Millard recording of the last L.A.'89 gig.

Woodstock upgrade came much later than the Fully Finished Outtakes, so it will be more likely DAC-215 or something. BTW, what will be 195, 196...?

3 possibilities :

- either deals with private collectors for new unreleased/uncirculated tapes that eventually went dead. So DAC has these 2 gaps in their catalogue.

- #195 and 196 were to be for the newly appeared tapes (like the 1st Detroit'75 or the composite 1975-06-26 one) but considering how "well" they would sell, #195 and 196 are currently held in limbo.

- they were going to put out their version of the London 2018 superlative tapes but after CC and RS they decided not to.

(no info here just my humble speculations...)

I'm sorry but when tested with TLH most of the tracks on CD#02 are reported to have errors:

"Files cannot be found in directory"

Files cannot be turned into WAVE either.

I found out what's causing the trouble,
it is the slash in the name of the tracks.

One just has to rename the tracks without the slash!

Imho this is a pretty good release that compile the FFSO boot and the "Davie137" leak.
The tracks I have listened to have been slightly reEQ'ed to give them more roundness, more flesh and that's quite pleasant.
It's a very marginally better listen than the original FFSO boot, but not enough to be called an upgrade.

For trainspotters the cut intro to "...Memphis" has been restored with a sample from another version of that tune.

EDIT : according to Atsu-y san DAC-208 is in fact "borrowed" from Cpt Acid's "remaster" of the original boot...
