Hi Stones fanatics,

I have found out that all tracks on second disc of my previous remasters were remastered from lossy files (that were converted to flac), i did not know that when i did the remaster.
VGP-377 "Keith Richards - A Stone Alone" that was shared on Hunger City, and is in The Stones vault, is lossy, at least the tracks i have used.
Also, "Keith Richards 1981 & 1983" shared on Hunger City is lossy ( again, at least the tracks i have used here ).

Big help arrived from Rank Stranger who provided me with VGP-377 "Keith Richards - A Stone Alone" that was lossless.
I have also used "(PGN-118) 1979-1981 In Tune With City - Jam" for the first part of the second disc, it is lossless.

First disc was also remastered again, from the same source as before,Silkcut`s vinyl rip of the EP "The Toronto Session".

I did phase, pitch and level correction. Also did cleaning vinyl clicks manually, with a pencil tool and made new EQ. No noisereduction, compression or limiting was used by me.

But I find it strange the version at Hungercity was lossy. Because I uploaded it to DIME many years ago, ripped from my silver. Can't recall if it was me who put it on HC, or if somebody else just reseeded it there, after changing something. Hope that was the case.

Then again, it was first ever torrent, so it is possible that I did something wrong with the ripping. If so - how embarrassing!

I guess that it was your share at HC, but don`t blame yourself, who knows what happened. It is also possible to get silver cd`s that were made from lossy files. I don`t know if there were different pressing of that VGP release, but Rank Stranger had a lossless version.
That share "Keith Richards 1981 - 1983" was also flac that was lossy. I am sure that "midnrambler" was not aware of that. Sometimes some people are polluting this bootleg community by transferring mp3 to flac without telling
