A friendly bump as I've been researching "Brown Leaves", the "slow" version of "Dancing Girls" as there's some discussion it could be the song used for "Come to the Ball" (dancing theme) and I can't find the long version in your UC sessions compilations, is there any reason for that ? Is it thought it doesn't come from these sessions ?
I'm referring to the 9:07 version from "The Pain Of Love" (VGP-052) [www.dbboots.com]

"Brown Leaves" from The VGP "The Pain Of Love" is the same as "Golden Caddy III" see track n°12 on UC Sessions n°2 (also called "Part Of the Night" on DAC 107)

Thanks for looking it up, I was just about to post that you had it here [iorr.org] as Golden Caddy indeed.
What a puzzle as you say ! GC and POFTN are the same song with the latter having vocals. The reason VGP called it "Brown Leaves" is probably because they called it "Brown Leaves" the first time it appeared on "Could You Walk On the Water" (VGP-027)...It's hard to find a lot in common between both songs, especially with the very different tempo.
So to sum it up it seems we have :
- Brown Leaves -> Dancing Girls -> Come to the Ball ??? Answer on October 22nd or earlier ;-)
- Golden Caddy -> Part of the Night
