There are many many concerts available from the 1981 and 1982 tours. I never really listened to them fully, I much prefer concerts from previous years.

Has anyone taken the time to listen carefully to these concerts and could say which performances are the best from 1981 and from 1982 ?

Phoenix and New Jersey are my personal favourites. On fire for those shows and available in outstanding sound quality too.

Well,New Jersey set in superb stereo quality is a must have,so is 2nd Largo/washington and final Hampton or New Orleans,,Pontiac both and Phoenix.

Its my favorite tour so,i can´t pick even just 10.

Naples 82 is a great performance. There's also a bonus disc of rehearsals with obscure songs on it. IIRC

They were really smokin' in 1981-1982. I think it's the undeviating setlists and the costumes/stage design that puts fans off. But football shirts beat a gorilla cape any day.

Edinburgh Playhouse May 82 was a nice recording of a hot show

Leeds 82 has now been officially released and has to e up there as one of their best large shows.

The other Hampton gig is worth a listen also.

For me the same ....Frankfurt June 30. Awsome show, beside the fantastic concert Ronnie and Keef make so much fun with Bill Wyman. Never saw Bill so much walking on stage and interact with the fans.

Although,we've got to rule out the botched "Let it Bleed" from Phoenix / Tempe.

Lexington , Cedar Falls , Saint Paul , Hampton (both)

followed by ....Hartford (both) , New Jersey , Louisville , Phoenix / Tempe (except for Let it Bleed) , Kansas City , Seattle .

Seattle 1981 "When the Whip Comes Down" was very strong.

The early concerts of the tour are worth it for the rare songs , initial backing band with a different sound but, not as strong as later in the tour,overall.

The three (?) gigs with Lee Allen are "interesting"... and they make you all the more appreciate what Ernie Watts's imput to the band live sound.

For me, it's Wembley Stadium 25 June 1982.

It runs fast and it sounds quite muddy but I'm sure that's not a problem for you!

Now. All The Girls In Frankfurt is June 29th
(VGP 288) Yeah Baby Yeah is June 30th

but the tape i got is July 1st (from a fan that recorded the show). Is there any other version of Frankfurt July 1st? I would like to check it out
