The sound in the stadium was pretty bad, at least from where I sat. Considering that, this recording is definitely listenable. Mick says something about it being nice to be back in Vancouver, it had been 17 years. It was the Stones first appearance here since the riot outside the arena on the first show of the "Exile On Main Street Tour", June 3, 1972. The crowd was definitely ready and loud!

But the real cool thing about this recording is that it would seem to be the first complete one to ever appear. db.etree lists only an incomplete bootleg ("Vancouver '89") which is missing the last 9 songs. Setlist.fm says "setlist unverified, no tape exists, probable setlist based on other shows from this leg of the tour".

So...here you have it complete!

Thanks a lot to the people involved and to you Werther2003 to do the relay for us.
I did a quick comparison with the Rockin' Rott version (for "Start Me Up"): this new version seems running 6% faster. I'd like to know if others think the same!
A great find, this make my day!

Needs a remaster, as it runs fast. Also need to bring that crowd noise down.

Captain Acid?

Toooo bad "Happy" is faded out.
We'll never know how long it was that night (7 minutes? Ten minutes? It seems to go on and on and on...). grinning smiley
