That, and some of the tapers are still doing it for the money. I think most modern day tapers are doing it for the sport (myself included). Many of those tapers are happy to share their recordings, but a growing number are reluctant, because they've seen one or more of their freely traded recordings show up on silvers. That's a really sucky feeling that can make even the most generous tapers think twice about sharing their tapes.

I fear that some of the best boots are done just for the financial gain. If nobody's willing to purchase those "Super-Duper-Deluxe-Amazing-Fantastic-SortaOK Collector Edition" sets, then those primo recordings may never see the light of day.

It's a dilemma for those who can see past the "gimme gimme" culture of the Internet.

Between the remasters and downloaded versions turning into silvers a bunch of the last tour has been kept out of mass circulation including my 3.

I am also a taper and not all of my recordings are spreadet well. But it is ridiculous to compare any audience tape with the second Xavel Chicago day! Why they should do this effort for free?

While I understand and respect your opinion, some people don't understand .zip files, FLAC and how to burn a disc.

I can make my own pizza for less than my local pizzeria can. I can't be bothered. I'm happy to have them make it.

Some people want to have a silver. Companies make silvers. People buy silvers. People share silvers with us. Win, Win, Win, Win. Profit is not a dirty word.

I have enough TShirts. If BV can get this message to the band? I'm happy to pay a boxed set price for a soundboard audio and proshot video of shows I attend, Warts and all. Give it a shave and a haircut and let me buy it from the band. Some members here will still berate the band for "ripping fans off" if the band starts to offer this option. *smh*

Yeah, I never really understood why they haven't tapped the concerts CD market like other bands, when supposedly they're in it for the money. I'd buy a bunch of them too.
