I think in 2018 in the UK and Europe we were spoiled by the gracious CL
There have been many tapers and this went on for decades, also in the USA.
And the past years showed us that tapes are rarely taped for the bootleg labels, but are taken from the uploads in the internet.
That a show in the middle of nowwhere like Burl's Creek may take a while
isnt that surprising, but no recording from Boston or Washington DC after
more than a week is kind of surprising.
I asked some people in the "offline" trading circles and many tapers are gone
and they confirm that almost everything is done online today.
So it´s a bit disconcerting to see whats going on right now. I know from several shows that will be taped and I kind of except Xavel to cover NYC, but
it seems times are getting harder for us to document and preserve the shows on video.

Bullshit. If anything tapers are hoarding so the recordings aren't downloaded and then sold. I have recorded over 1500 shows and have NEVER sold one. I was offered a large sum once and turned it down.

Many tapers holding recordings because they do not want their recording "matrixed" with inferior sources or remastered. They also do not approve of shows being shared on "pay" sites like filefactory. These things happen every tour and tapers do not feel the urge to share publicly when the same things happen tour after tour.
Exactly my point. Happens every tour and the result is fewer tapers sharing. I will likely share NJ1 and if there is a remaster done NJ2 and Santa Clara will not see the light of day.
I understand for point and feeling and of course I appreciate a lot your taping and sharing! I got some of your recording from Planet Rock in the past.
Most of us here are extremely respectful and grateful, I really hope your taper's wishes will be respected.

I do not want to open a discussion to the one that is thinking about the US fans ... they in many decades that include the tours have left many recordings as well as Europeans who are fanatical in that sense ... we are all fans of the stones, What is the most important !!

It's a little tougher getting gear in this year.
There is a clear bag policy and you get a body scan on the way in. Might be harder to get a decent audio recording.

You are so right! I am not surprised at all that people do not want to post their recordings here anymore when people like rs****o finds himself always forced to upload his (unnecessary!) remaster as soon as someone has uploaded a show (e. g. both Chicago shows).
