There are some differences between the mixes of the music between these. The recorder theme for example gradually fades up on the German release where as on the US version has a more constant volume level.

My opinion is that it's better to have the music complete even if there is dialogue. For example, the murder scene with Jimmy Page's ace fuzz guitar is too good to chop up.
