POST: COLOGNE DE 4TH SEPTEMBER 1973

Warning: it's pitched waay too fast and is at best a 'good' audience recording. Still, it's historic because "Silver Train" was played live. Evidently, it sounded a little too much like "All Down the Line" when played live. Maybe it's me, but with unlimited access to drugs, brilliant musical and lyricist minds, the excuse not to play this is about as lame as... you get the picture.

thumbs up

Logically the 4 London shows (as well as a bunch of the UK gigs?) were taped in perfect quality with the Stones Mobile studio.

We just need to be patient to see them being released officially (like 30 40 years?) grinning smiley

Thank you very much, HEILOOBAAS!

There is also a bootleg from this date with different running times,
maybe somebody can share this too?

and also a four CDR set:

"Empire Pool 1973 / The Complete London Tapes (4CDR/disc 1) Sound of Satisfaction SOS-730907/8/9"
that might be of interest.

I checked and it doesn't appear this show exists in Stonesvault. Warning: it's pitched waay too fast and is at best a 'good' audience recording. Still, it's historic because it's the last time "Silver Train" was played live. Evidently, it sounded a little too much like "All Down the Line" when played live. Maybe it's me, but with unlimited access to drugs, brilliant musical and lyricist minds, the excuse not to play this is about as lame as... you get the picture.

Sorry, but what you posted is not London but Cologne September 4th.

No I was not, I taped the show in Essen on Oct.10th in mediocre quality.

I listened to bits of the first half of Heiloobaas' upload and became aware of the
German speaking fans in between the songs;
after Heartbreaker they discuss how much tape is left for recording.

Now as midnrambler says this is not London but Cologne,
the fact that the tapers are from Germany is no longer that much of a surprise...

By the way if you really want to know,
I was in London in July 1973, but I had to return sooner than expected,
because I spent all my cash on records,
most of it at the Vintage Records Centre, Roman Way near Holloway prison....smoking smiley
