Hi Stones fanatics,

Here it is, another remaster. This time it is the first gig of 1975 TOTA, and first one with Ron Wood.
First i have remastered both sources, Freezer tape and VGP - 375, "An Open Invitation To Sex With The Devil".
Then FALO did the matrix (merge) of those two sources. After that i did bit more EQ and level correction.
Both Preston songs, Midnight Rambler and part of Angie are not matrix, just Freezer recording.

Thank you for your work. Sounds good and the band was sounding pretty good that night. For their first gig since '73 and the first gig with Ronnie they were able to sound pretty tight with minimal mess ups.

It's a kick-ass perf. MR as an encore is intriguing and this rendition is muscular (as they write in rock mags).
They seem to have given it all that afternoon as the 2nd show is pretty tired (minus a fantastic version of IORR... go figure!).

OT (?) but Freezer would go apesh!t when you'd mention to him a 2nd tape. He was adamant he was the sole taper that day (and the sole taper in the entire state of LA?)

I have not listened to it yet, I have VGP - 375, "An Open Invitation To Sex With The Devil".

Can anyone update what they have found on the difference between the two? . I have always found the Captains subtle touches improve and enhance previous releases . IMO keep those fingers moving Captain, Love these 1975 releases.

Tell us why. I'm always curious what makes a show special for somebody.

It was one of my first concerts on this tour, on the audio I had. It is known, the first concert with Wood, in his birthday - it can be admitted that it is a nice debut.

It's wonderful to hear the Stones playing Rocks Off, Dance Little Sister (it's a shame they have not more been played on the tour), Luxury. Midnight Rambler is a great surprise at the end. Mick, says a lot during the concert. Ronnie plays as if he has been playing with them for years.

It's just something that attracts me to this show - maybe it's the magic of opening concerts that I love to listen to (Oakland 1999, Vancouver 1972, Philly 1981, Boston 2005 or London 2012). They are always underdeveloped and premiere songs appear.

Besides (maybe it's a flaw for you), you do not feel the speed that appears on later concerts.

I am glad that I will be able to rediscover this show thanks to the great work of Captain Acid, Falo and Mr.D. Listening to all these recordings becomes even better.

@Capt Acid, where's the "mr freezer" version from? Is it the Silkcut1978 torrent, or did I miss out on something? Did freezer share a lower generation tape, that escaped me?
Anyways, I look forward listening to this matrix, it's a great performance

Yes, it is from Silkcut1978 torrent, the one that i have remastered and shared here, recently

I may be wrong but to me some tracks run slower than on Cpt's remaster of the Freezer tape.
Sandwiching tapes must be sth the software Falo uses doesn't like... or the ghost of Freezer has been sabotaging the work from up above.

I have checked tracks with my guitar,they should be in tune. I did make some speed correction to FALO matrix
