My question to Reelstone is: where does the stereo version of Try me come from? Did you make it yourself?

It should be pointed out that the "stereo" version is ReelStone's creation.

The mono version is a flac from a mp3 source.
So the stereo and instrumental versions created by ReelStone are lossy too.

Oh no, not that again!

Live is better than flac
Flac better than mp3
Mp3 better than nothing

I actually did not care because I never heard a better version to compare it to.

I first heard people talk about this track around 1985 but I wasn't able to hear the song until yesterday. Now THAT was lossy - nothing at all for more than 30 years and I love this little MP3.

Anybody needs my right arm for a lossy version of "English Summer" ?

Hi Captain Acid,

Can you send me an email? I would like to send you a couple of tracks, straight from the discs and before I converted to FLAC, for you to analyze. But only if you have time and think it would be worth checking,

Thanks,
Johnny

There is a mention about this song in a book called "The Stones" by Philip C.Luce.

A book probably released 1970.

Don't have this book anymore.
But if my memery serves me well, the title was not spelled correctly;
something like "Dryme"?!?

I can't make a scan, the book is too fragile to be opened at 180°.

So there is Try Me and Dryme? The latter probably a mistake...

Sad Day was released 1966, so there should be no * there...

ONLY WLR would include the Bird's Vault outtakes with a rehash of Chess material. That's reason #13 why it's not my favorite label.
