It's interesting to see how tapes can contradict live reports.

From reviews Coventry was a hot spirited show. The Xavel boot gives the impression of a somewhat tired band.
Personnally I'd take London I over Coventry any day...

And still I'd say that Praha was the best gig of 2017/18 - and no, I haven't been there but the recording of daspyknows gives the impression of the band on fire.

I think Xavel should use a higher percentage of the audience recordings and less of the IEM signal for these releases, Chuck's keyboard takes over way too much the way this is mixed.

Brown Sugar from Coventry sounds really hot on youtube: video: [www.youtube.com]. While on this release all I hear is Chuck and very litte audience or room reverb.
