Another harddisk crash??
Sadly yes, M. Stranger. Except this time it was pilot error; a CCIT [that's 'controlled crash into terrain' for you non-aviation geeks]. Early Friday evening, July 27th last year, I sat down at my labtop and the cordless mouse wouldn't track. This is where it gets trainspotty... in a blind fit of psychosis, I smashed the mouse into the lower right hand section of the keyboard. Oh, maybe three times. With great force, too! I placed my finger on the track pad and the blue "you've really *F* *U* *C* *K* *E* *D* things up this time, m8!" screen apppeared, telling me in so many words my hard drive was hosed. Where I hit the mouse into the keyboard was directly above where the hard drive was.
