This could be the end of endless wetransfer re-ups untill this file host runs out of storage space.

Seems OK.

There's a maximum storage time of 90 days (WT only 7 days).
When I tried downloads, I got a max of 4 Mbps (WT 12 Mbps). (upload speeds are also in the same range; WT 5.5 minutes for 778 Mb, Workupload 8 minutes for the same file).
So a good alternative for WT.

If you try to set a limit, you cannot go longer than 90 days, so I suppose that if you leave it blank, 90 days will be the automatic storage limit.
(I could change the "Number of downloads" to 200,000,000)

So it is an assumption that the max storage time is 90 days.
(time will tell)

I don't see any speed difference downloading from WT and workupload. I haven't done any upload yet!

Indeed but might as well put the content here for reference purposes

6. Will my files automatically deleted?
If your file is 180 days inactive (no call receive), it will be removed. Unless you specify a retention period, your file will be stored until the time of your choosing.

That last sentence doesn't make much sense though, I suppose they meant, "if you specify a retention period the file will be deleted at the end of this period".

I didn't look further into it, but with a maximum storage capacity of 50 GB, some frequent users will set a short retention period (for example a couple of days) because they just want to send something to a friend.

With a free account (I should look it up if they offer some sort of premium account), you wouldn't be able to store all 13 2017 DVD9 shows, so either you delete your upload after a certain time, or you put a maximum retention period, so you're automatically freeing up space.

I contacted workupload.com with the question if storage limit was indeed 50 Gb and if there was something like a premium-membership plan.
Here's the reply (BTW, workupload seems to work from Germany)

Hi Chris,

thanks for your request.

Thats correct. You can use 50 GB for free.
We plan to provide workupload pro accounts at January 2018 (with more storage and more functions).

Best,

their premium options will be interesting to see. So far i like it a lot. decent upload speed, very fast down. I've got about 4gb already on there, been downloaded a few hundred times and no one seems to have had any issues.

It's interesting that you can see how many times one of your uploads is downloaded, and then compare to the "thank you" messages; very enlightening!!!

and it seems to update immediately whereas something like zippyshare you only get the count update every twenty four hours. But i can count on one hand the number of thanks for over 300 downloads but i got used to that years ago. It's people who make endless requests without ever uploading themselves who annoy me.

It seems you can have multiple free accounts, even from the same IP address.
Just use another mail address (an existing one of course because you will be send a confirmation mail to activate the new account)
