Is this DVD the best quality we have yet?

I ask, because I made my MPG from a VHS tape I got from England by mnyself and I always hoped TFI would issue an official release of this ... I just love that thing!

Any hints?

well RSVP sometimes tended to up-convert initial video files from the smaller (and compressed) ones, hope your transfer is fresher as it lacks several "generations". anyway, i didn't watch the rsvp version as i don't have it... the version i have is the one i got from hungercity around 2008-09, also without extras, but i am afraid my copy is buried deep in my vaults so i can't compare it to your version. hopefully one could do so in due time... thanks for your vhs rip anyway

this is the initial info file i got from hc tracker:

The Rolling Stones - TFI - Chicago - 12th April 1999 (50mins)

Source: Channel Four Terrestrial broadcast onto PANASONIC HIFI NICAM STEREO VHS
Captured: Power Producer Gold
Picture: PAL 4:3 25fp/s 720x576 8Mbps
Sound : Dolby 2.0 224kbps (Stereo Nicam sound)
Menued and authored using TMPGenc

This is a 50 min interview conducted backstage at the United Center Chicago on 12th April 1999 (Broadcast 7th May 1999)

All four band members are interviewed by Chris Evans on their own and Mick Jagger also shows Evans various backstage locations.

There are also extracts of It's Only Rock'n'Roll, Jumping Jack Flash and Start Me Up as well as footage of Keith and Ronnie jamming backstage.

I have menued and chaptered the DVD to link to the start of each interview and song segment.

This DVD is made from my master VHS recording.

There are one or two minor glitches however quality is up to my usual standard.

The two versions I have (the one with your artwork and menu, and the one without menu but with the "Keith Jamaica Interview" are the same; 3,2 Gb and 2,9 Gb.

Here's a comparison between the two versions on my HDD:

Ok, there definitely IS some difference! grinning smiley
Chris, is your version with the Jamaica interview still up there somewhere? smiling bouncing smiley

I.e. -are both versions already contained in Stonesvault-Wonderland?

My version is definitely not up there anymore :-)
I'll check the Vault to see if 1 or both version were ever uploaded there and let you know tonight or tomorrow.

OK, as far as I could find out, version 1 (without the Jamaica part) was uploaded twice; the "no Label" version (1999.04.12 Chris Evans Interview - TFI, United Center, Chicago, IL) and the RSVP version (DVD RSVP 1999.05.08 TFI UK TV Stones Chicago).
I'm making rar files out of version 2 (with the Jamaica interview) and will upload to the Vault as "1999.04.12 Chris Evans Interview - TFI, United Center, Chicago, IL. V2 ( plus Jamaica)".
