Hello,
we need your help or opinion for the vol 08 of our series devoted to STU guesting with George Thorogood in Hampton (18/12/81).
We got only one source coming from the ripping of a NTSC VHS video tape.
The quality is good but checking the frequencies we found that they disappears after 18000 hz (see below)
with Audacity

with EAC:


- did you think this files are lossy?
- did you know if the VHS-sources are always somehow lossy?
- someone had a better source (more complete frequencies)and accept to upload and that I "play" with?

* yes, they are lossy:
audacity & eac showing cut off at 17.600 hz
* no, not always:
depands e.g. on linear tape speed; see

is it a proposal? because I would like to do it but, as I wrote, I'm waiting for a better source, if it exists, rather than post my lossy version!

I agree totaly but some sites have standarts that must be respected to post on it.

yep, same source as audacity & eac: lossy

my converter shows 32% compressed.....
