Ah these are my [Tonstone] recordings enjoy they where all low masters. There is a few more in the Scottish Attic.

What does Low Masters mean? Are they better than the sources we already have?

Hi Geordie.
In the halcyon days of snail trading when you would trade tapes.These were all low generation cassette tapes from the original master i.e. Say you have the master tape and then make a
copy of it, then trade it with someone, they then would trade it with someone else and so on. Better? would be hard to define unless the other recordings where something like a 20th generation copy of the original master. Each time a tape was copied I believe you would lose a slight bit of fidelity. So if my tapes where 2nd or 3rd generation and you had say a 20th generation of the same source then if you had a keen ear and a top notch system you may notice a difference.
