If DAC's rework of this old Scorpio title is as good as the job they did on "Dartford Renegades" we're in for a treat!
Thx to all parts involved!
EDIT : most of the tracks on CD1 are a noticeable upgrade over the old (1992?) "Mad Shadows" boot. "Hillside Blues" has a few extra seconds at the beginning which is (imo) new and nice. The GHS tracks sound better than on "Reel Time Trip".
CD2 is a rework of the "Key To The Highway" (RS 220) boot. Both discs sound more or less identical but on DAC-180 a few tracks ("Go Home Girl" "Mercy Mercy") are speed-corrected.

The "new" version of Hillside Blues comes from one of Ghostryder's torrents on Demonoid. I suspect that it's not a "genuine" new version from a new tape, but a home-produced start to avoid the usual fade-in. Anyway, it's very nice.

So it'd be a home-brewed fake like the "long" (27 minute) version of "Keep it Cool" that recently polluted IORR?
Damn...

..."polluted"...it's hard to say so.

Indeed. For the "purist", it may be polluted, but in this case, I would say that it's "produced" to have a nicer start. "Produced" in a way that the Stones themselves would probably do in case they'd wish a "nicer sounding" start for an official release instead of the usual fade-in that's available on bootlegs.
Whereas the home-brewed Undercover outtakes are a different beast imo because they were just cut-and-paste - jobs to make them "longer" in order to present "new" outtakes.
Ghostryder did a similar thing with "Paint It Black" live from Paris 1967 that's only available with a fade-in by crossfading it with the (proper) start from the Honolulu version. It's noticable for us die-hards, but sounds very nice and "complete".
Doing it for the aesthetics is different from "faking for fake's sake" imo.
