Hawaii 1973 best source?
Date: September 4, 2017 02:53

What's the best source for all 3 of the shows that they played in Honolulu Hawaii, 1973?

Maybe "Hawaiian Daylight"

Shaved Disc : TSD 002

or

Weeping Goat Label WG-025 - 026 ??

Those are both from January 21st,1973.

For the January 22nd,1973 early show .... you would probably be looking at "Honolulu 1973" from Golden Hit Records GHR-003.

As far as the January 22nd,1973 late show goes,I am not sure if it is in circulation. I can't recall.

I find it ironical and definitely The-Emperor-Wears-No-Clothes-esque that the 3rd Honeelooloo show transcends the previous 2. Ben Fong-Torres waxed so devotedly about it I swore he'd been levitated onstage next to Charlie's beer cans.

Mick has laryngitis. The only genuinely remarkable aspect to the whole overblown shebang is that Mick's voice actually gets stronger by ADTL.

But this is just me talking. But what do I know? I remember when the $6.50 tickets were being castigated as being too highly priced in 1972.
