Much as I love the Stones I really loath their "bitty" approach to releasing tracks which should be in an "all in one" compilation. My current gripe is the mess that the official live releases of 1989/1990 is in. To get a nice full concert-length recording we have to amalgamate the following -

Flashpoint CD (without the last two studio tracks)
CD Maxi-singles, there are 7 of them.
Charity Cassette from 1993, the source of "Gimme Shelter"
Stones at the Max DVD which gives us "Happy" & "Honky Tonk Women"

Please note that I'm only considering the official releases & not the TV & Radio broadcasts (That would make another compilation)

I've put together a playlist & I'd like you to have a look to see if I've missed anything & also to suggest any changes in the running order. My wife is visiting her sister this coming weekend so I'll have time to do some editing (that "Paint it Black you devil" splice from 1969 is first on the chopping block, I mean, what were they thinking?)

BTW Does anyone know where a wav or flac version of Gimme Shelter is available, is it on any boot?

There are also the two vault releases of gigs at the Tokyo Dome on February 24 and 26, 1990, the first one being a Japan only release.
They both have versions of "Bitch", "Almost Hear You Sigh", "Mixed Emotions", Midnight Rambler" and "Rock And A Hard Place" plus non-iMax versions of "Happy" and "Honky Tonk Women".

I was going to suggest you to use the 2 From The Vault releases, but Deltics was faster and much preciser than me.

The original thought I had was for splicing the hard-copy (CD, DVD, cassette) live versions into one seamless concert, & I think I'll stick with that.

The next brief is the "Desert Island Soundboard Concert" of the tour & this is where all the streaming shows come in & I include the radio, TV & digital sources for this. I've got the vaults version of Tokyo February 26, 1990 but not the 24th. although the setlist appears identical. There were 37 different songs in the tour & all of them are available as soundboards so there's a fair bit of splicing & audio shenanigans to do & I'd like to keep away from the previous official releases as much as possible.

My wife is really looking forward to a Stones-free weekend with her sister.

Putting Our House in Order project

In 1993, a Food Records project collected various versions of the track by the following bands and collaborations, the proceeds of which went to the Shelter charity's "Putting Our House in Order" homeless initiative. The versions were issued across various formats, and had a live version of the song by The Rolling Stones as a common lead track to ensure chart eligibility.

That is one mother of a setlist for a complete 1989/90 concert, 38 songs in total. Maybe I should just work on that, werther2003.

One problem is that the official CD versions sound great but they've most probably had a lot of post-production, such as overdubs, done on them, although there are cases where the official CD is the only source for a song. Another way would be to start of with, say, Atlantic City & then splice in the missing tracks to that, but then, Which version of Atlantic City VGP or Swinging Pig? Wolfgang's sounds nice but it's lossy & some folks don't care for that.

It has to be soundboard so Shattered will be from the rehearsals (it's live & there was an audience (of roadies))

I see a three CD set here, first CD up to Factory Girl, 2nd up to I Just Wanna Make Love To You, final CD starting of with Keith's 3-song set.

For the Atlantic City show in soundboard I would choose the one from Crystal Cat Records and the catalog numbers is CC 459-460.

As for the order of tracks according to werther2003 is perfect.

Listening to a beta version of the official hardcopy releases, doesn't sound too bad. Still not sure whether to add the download-only version of Angie, it's not hardcopy, but it is rather rare....

Just my 2 cents: I don't think Miss You should be the 4th song of the list.
In your cd1 I would put it aftr the CD singles and right before Ruby Tuesday like Live At The Tokyo Dome.
