Does anyone know anything about one of the disks on the original Goldplate set having to be replaced with a CD when it appeared there was a mistake made - I'm sure I saw a mention of there being a replacement CDR but the Japanese translation used wasn't very clear.

The 50 copies only release by Sweet Black Angels label (which was the idea giver for Goldplate) was re-released very early, now with the Virchov tape added. Maybe that's what you mean?

Yep, that might be what I was thinking of. As an aside, my copy of the Goldplate set arrived today - It does feature a CD with additional tracks .. I'll up it to retransfer (I do owe you lot something after all these downloads)

I finally got around to checking this one out. Overall it was pretty good, thank you for sharing it.

Notes: Calling something "Complete" is a curse. It's obsolete as soon as you release it. Missing items:

* Too Much Blood and Eliza (slow version) (on DAC 182)
* promo short versions of She Was Hot and Undercover of the Night
* all versions of You Can't Cut the Mustard
* The snippets that are now available in full on DAC-182
-Can't Find Love
-All the Way Down
-Heartbeat
-In Your Hand
-Tie You up (The Pain of Love)
-Undercover of the Night
-Feel on Baby

* The other songs that are available in full shared here
-Forty
-Christine
-Identification
-The Golden Mile

Good things:

* It's pretty complete for most of all the older bootlegs (less Can't Cut the Mustard)
* this release has a few tracks previously found on smaller labels and is not on any DAC/VGP or other major label (probably because they are not that good)
-Wanna Hold You CD3 #13
-Too Much Blood CD5 #14
* quality of most tracks is as good or better than found elsewhere


By the way:

* there are only 2 versions of What I Am Saying Is True (Cooking Up). DAC spliced two parts together to make the first (DAC-180 #5) and DAC-180 #7. DAC-180 #6 is part of #5.
* I have not yet looked at rskinno's share, so this is not including anything found on that
