Damned; I thought I read something about those tracks being available on some boot or upload post somewhere here on IORR.
(I wonder where I got the information; track titles and running time, found it in a text file on an old HDD)

No upload as far as I know. No release. N. Zentgraf lists the tracks as "unverified" - he doesn't have the recordings.

These sessions have been mentioned a few times before and even described a few times by the people who've heard them but I'd never seen the running times. Out of curiosity when does that file of yours date back to?

Info on HDD says "Made 24-7-2011 10:23".
It's a HDD that I took out of a previous PC and hooked up to my current PC.

WOW, I'm speechless!

Gobsmacked as we say in the UK. As much as I would love to have / hear them I can't beat myself up about not having something I have no control over. What I appreciate and respect is knowing they are real- and exist and someone can confirm their existence. even just by track timings.I can live with that. One day........

After someone mentioned that Just Because (from Paris 2002) developed into the track Trouble from Keith's Crosseyed Heart album I started a thread in the Tell Me section of IORR in august 2015 about these sessions/songs titled:

When I Call Your Name - LICKS SESSIONS, Paris 2002.

A good title for these tracks could be Loose Licks and add the 2002 tracks from 40 Licks if they ever become available.

This tape and the seven or so official songs would fill one CD.

Maybe in the spirit of the "From The Vault" series we now need something similar for studio tracks. Instead of attaching them to deluxe versions just put them as standalone releases. If put out as unreleased tracks, it would restore the "Commercially Viable" value that Mick was said was lost with the major dumping of the Voodoo Lounge sessions. These songs would not necessarily need to be finished and maybe the band may choose to finish one here and there. They could also provide a good way to get out 1 or 2 new tracks they may have recorded without the burden of them feeling like they are doing an album.

They do exist...thats all i can say.

They started circulating very quickly after the sessions, late summer of 1997...

They don't really circulate, only in the inner circle. That's maybe a few dozens people worldwide. Even many of the well known experts don't have it.

Did they really circulate? I remember someone offered them shortly after the release of BtB but it was a hoax like the Phoenix DVD in late 2005.
