Today I got an almost complete recording of the Philadelphia, 21 July 1972, 1st show from someone who wants to stay anonymous.

I'm looking for someone with the skills to remaster this old tape a little.
It's a decent (for the time) audience recording.

This or, Chris, the best solution would be for you to contact certain Dime members like mjk5510. He's a "Springsteen artist" mainly but I think he wouldn't mind reviving this vintage Stones tape.

Wouldn't be surprised if DAC releases a merge of the soundboard parts and this source in a couple of weeks. Like they did with three 1978 soundboard shows recently.

I'd go for "The Mr Anonymous Afternoon Tape", or "Mr Anonymous Forgot His Afternoon Hat." The possibilities are endless!

It's always been suspected (by some at least, including me - there is a thread out there I am sure) that Stevie joined in for the encore between the 2nd/3rd Philly shows (21JUL). There is video evidence in C*ck$uckers Blues that band members wore the outfits of the 2nd show. Yet for some reason that song was always attributed to the 1st show (20JUL).

Anybody know why? Just a guess someone perpetuated I suppose.

I'm still surprised that my friend gave explicit permission to share his tape here.
IMHO, this would have been some great trading material.
