This is the part twelve of a series of rare recordings of Mick Taylor with the Alvin Lee Band in 1981. With thanks to nzb who provided two shows (Salisbury, Chicago), to Jaap (Stonesmuziekfan) who sent me all of his tapes from this era and gave critic and advise regarding my work and to my friend Riccardo (MrNo) who participated to a big part of my collection.
Line-up: MT (gtr; some p)/Alvin Lee (voc, gtr)/Fuzzy Samuels (bass)/Tom Compton (dr)
Note: The Alvin Lee Band toured as support for Black Sabbath!

(infos taken from The Rolling Stones Complete Works Database by Nico Zentgraf

This recording came from nzb’s collection. It’s quite rare and like often in this case not in great quality. In fact it’s the worst for the series, for the sound, but it’s an historical testimony that can be counseled only to collectors and completist (I’m a part of them).
I only amplified the sound (+3,5db) and improved the beginning/end of the cdr by a fade in/out. I delete a gap in the intro at 6s. I improved some sound defaults like in the MT solo on “Slow Blues In C” (at 5’30, the sound was very low for some seconds). Between “Can’t Stop” and “Slow Down” a fragment of around 10s was repeated, now the transition is restored.
I’m not sure that the tape runs at the good speed, I tried different variations but the result was never convincing so finally I let it untouched.
