If I feel this way tomorrow, I'll post my own lyrics to "Panama Powder Room,"

I wouldn't be surprised if the track is actually an (nonsense) jam like much on the Satanic box sets. Maybe it's in fact the "real" title for one of them.

My best guess is that Panama Powder Room, Godzi and Something BB (Something Brigitte Bardot?) are working titles for instrumentals/backing tracks which became tracks for Between The Buttons.

What's strange is that Bill Wyman thought it of interest to put instrumentals on the Black Box...either it shows his character or he was taking the p$ss ;-) I remember being rather disappointed by the promisingly titled "Gold Painted Fingernails" when it popped up as part of the Satanix Box Sets !

Welcome back bkeys, looking forward to any nuggets you may still have in store for us ;-)

Do you have the "finished" version of It's All Lie Videojames was talking about.

There is times of both "Godzi" and "Panama Powder Room" available.
The paperwork MFSL got from ABKCO in the eighties (and posted here a few years ago by 'thebeercan'), times "Godzi" as 1:32 and "Panama Powder Room" as 3:12.
I have a strong suspicion that the tracks are instrumentals we already know, but under a different name. Maybe it could be solved by checking time of the instrumentals of the Satanic box?

English Summer became Dandelion I think.

I don't think so, it was recorded at the same time as Dandelion (when it was still Sometimes Happy, Sometimes Blue) and Marianne Faithfull recorded a version of it in 1967.

There is no song English Summer by Faithfull.

20th May 1967: MARIANNE FAITHFULL. London, Decca Studio #2.
Producer: Mike Leander (& probably MJ). Sound engineer: Glyn Johns.
- With A Little Help From My Friends (John Lennon/Paul McCartney)
- English Summer (MJ/KR)
Note: Both tracks remain unreleased to date.

Isn't this just a rumour like the Stones version? If you google "Marianne Faithfull English Summer" you will find nothing.

In Volker K.'s book from 1984

I found this under "EXALTATION"

regarding Panama Powder Room, Godzi and a few other tracks.

When I get my HD back up to speed I wanna make an image for this title. Something along the lines of powder rooms from the 1930s when there was a female attendant who kept things tiday [don't ask about my definition of 'tidy' for this gem. It's going to be NSFW].

Now, my perplexation is who will be the female attendant? Miss Marianne Faithfull, Mrs. Bianca Jagger? Ms. Kate Moss? Chris "Kiss & Tell" O'Dell is out of the running because she had to include her rock and roll belt notches in her otherwise uninteresting book. Boring dear, very, very boring.

I wonder what Godzi is. Panama Powder Room must be a working title. I'm surprised nothing turned up on it.
