POST: Mick Taylor, New-Morning, Paris, July 5th 1996.
Here's one of my all time favorite Mick Taylor's show!
And specially because I was there!
Mick played the same year two times in April at the same club in Paris,
and I was at the first one, which was really a bad night, as Mick was
such in bad mood, and you could tell that he didn't want to play..
The second night of April was a bit better, but for this concert in July,
everything was different: Mick was on fire, and had such a fluent playing again!!
It brings many good memories to me, but still to this day, as a guitar player, listening to this show is a unbelievable pleasure.
It sounds to me as a Soundboard.
And it was shared a few years back, on Dimeadozen, but from a bad cd-rip, from a friend of mine who did it without checking the quality.
This is a fine cd-rip.
And I created these cds from the tapes that I bought a few month after the show, from a taper in Paris..
As a bonus, there's a 10 minutes videos footage made that day, with excerpts from the show, and bits of interviews by Mick.
The sound from the video seems to be from the same soundboard source.
The band was:
Mick Taylor (Gtr, Vcls)
Snowy White (Gtr, Vcls)
Max Middleton (Keyboards)
Kuma Harada (Bass)
Blair Cunningham (Drums)
Mick doesn't play or sing on the first two numbers, and on Little Wing as well.
This is Snowy White playing and singing them.
Have fun!!!
