Post by request: 1989.10.19 Atlantic City Audio Rip DVD Unknown Label

Audio ripped from a 2 DVD set, that included 8 bonus tracks in 3D and the 3D glasses needed to watch them.
Warning: those bonus tracks are not included.

I put up a new link because I didn't take into account that the 2 disk set would not fit on 2 discs!!!
(I forgot to convert the Flac files to Wav, so when I did that today, the files where too large to fit on two discs).
So I made a new folder with all tracks and you can decide for yourself where to split them.

I ripped directly to Flac with "Aimersoft DVD Ripper", level 8 (best):

So this is the version mixed by Clearmountain?
I compared it to the Crystal-Cat-version which IMO is far better sounding.

The volume of the DVD-rip is also rather low, nevertheless thank you very much for your generous uploads!

If I had to choose, I´d pick Crystal Cat.

Edit: The Swinging-Pig 5th Anniversary 4-CD-edition is superb too.

I never wrote that winking smiley

Meanwhile, Quiquestone wrote me that this DVD was included with a Brazilian magazine called "DVD total".

(I translated part of the text on the back from Portuguese to English and it says: "This DVD is an integral part of the magazine "DVD Total Nr 04").

I really don't know much more about the DVD, certainly not if this is the one remixed by BC!

I don't know how to find out, but I did find this for the DVD by using a software called "MediaInfo", I don't know if this can answer your question:

Is the audio ripped from this DVD lossy or lossless?

With the software that QuiQue-Stone advised, I could choose which audio stream to rip from MfG-67 1989.12.19 Atlantic City; ac3 or MPEG1.

Here's the Freq analysis from the ac3 rip:

And here the one from the MPEG1 rip:

There is a difference , but not so large!
How can I see which one is lossy?

Unfortunately, for this DVD (unknown label), only the ac3 sound was available...

I checked a couple of disc and of the few a tested, only the official "At The Max" offered LPCM.

This one isn't lossy, because the frequency arrives at 20000hz. That's good, and lossless.
