Thanks a lot for your upload!
I'm at the time checking Star @#$%& In California REBEL YELL FACTORY [RYF-001] and have a question.
According to the artwork and [dbboots.com],
there should be 13 tracks on CD 01
01. Under My Thumb [04:38]
02. When The Whip Comes Down [05:07]
03. Let's Spend the Night Together [04:56]
04. Shattered [05:04]
05. Neighbours [04:15]
06. Black Limousine [04:05]
07. Just My Imagination (Running Away with Me) [07:12]
08. Twenty Flight Rock [02:19]
09. Let Me Go [04:10]
10. Time Is on My Side [03:42]
11. Beast of Burden [07:49]
12. Waiting On A Friend [04:53]
13. Let It Bleed [05:46]
The two last ones are missing here.
Would you be as kind as to check if you've got them, please?
Many thanks in advance.
Hervé

RYF-009 is also interesting, not for the normal BAB outtakes (which are meanwhile available better/with less hiss) but for It's A Lie I, an early version totally different to the common Paris Results Vol. 2 version. And for Munich Reggae II (remix for Tattoo You) according to sleeve. I got item on Thursday but have not listened thru yet. Also Carnival To Rio is included. Sorry I can't upload.

Moonson, I agree with the second "It's a Lie" - I had this track only as MP3 with inferior sound before the Rebel Yell release ...

but I disagree with you about the B'n'B outtakes.

This Rebel Yell is the best release on silver for the classic 14 B'n'B outtakes. Of course the original "Vermeille" tape is better, but on silver, all other releases are inferior.

from the best to the worst :

1 - "Vermeille" tape with HS ist. in clear stereo with great sound . This is the best tape, though it is NOT EXCELLENT - No silver release known with this sound quality.
2 - bad copies of "Vermeille" tape with HS in poor mono (Keith chanel only) and many sound problems - cassette to cassette copy with a cassette recorder using "automatic level control"
3 - silver CD : Rebel Yell release.
4 - LP : Reggae'n'Roll - original Triumvirat release on CLEAR vinyl. (7 songs only)
5 - all other releases

a few releases on CD use different sources, as exemple DAC.

Comments are welcomed.

"please can you upload", refrain.

Sorry for my English.

No, they're slightly better on DAC (Munichland Melodies with somewhat less hiss, some too on The Paris Rehearsals with very little hiss) which I have too.

I prefer the sound on Rebel Yell, less "metallic" (I don't know how to explain) than on DAC. It's only a matter of taste. I don't mean my taste is better than yours.

you should correct the headline of this thread... Rebel, not Rebbel, with one "b" only!

Are you trying to be in the world guiness book of records for stupidity ?

If it´s easier for you, maybe we should speak Esperanto here ?

Have not compared them directly, RYF sounds nice yeah, but its high generation.
It's A Lie is of course from another source (1977-79) and has almost no hiss.

I received this second version different to the "Paris Results" some years ago. It was a MP3, and it was great for me, it was another new recording.
Now the quality is far better on the Rebel Yell. So it's great, too !

It reminds me of an interview with Mick Jagger by a french "journaliste". DF

Mick : Nous avons fait les moquettes.

DF : Mick, on ne dit pas les moquettes, mais les maquettes.

Mick J, in a perfect french langange : Si vous voulez, nous pouvons continuer l'interview en anglais.

The BAB RYF release was in 2005 (?) as back sleeve says. It is rare and unknown. Even DAC did not know It's A Lie I around 2010. This track and the somewhat polished Munich Reggae should be uploaded. It's probably new for most folks here.

Thank you for your very intelligent post. It confirms once more my opinion about the people posting here. What is wrong about it when I suggest to spell the label name correctly in a general post about the realeases of a label that is surely read by many people? It would also be helpful for the search function once the post has dropped to a higher page.

when "stonesmuziekfan" wrote "Rebbel Yell" instead of "Rebel Yell", I understand "Rebel Yell" without any problem. If someone write "Live'r Than You'll Ever be", I will understand he is talking about an old LP called "Live R Than ...".

But, OK, I post only a few messages here, and probably it's too much.

My advice is that you should go to the great "Mick had a new baby" discussion, and i'll stop posting anything about records until the end of the year ?

Just cool down you two!
I'm certain that as soon as Jaap is back from his vacation in the US and Canada, he will change the title.
But give him some time to enjoy his holiday; he already logs in once in a while from a hotel to post or even correct something (yes, even Filefactory links!)

.

I'm already 12 days at home and just now notice my spelling Rebel with 2 times the b.
First topic title is corrected. (a typo for in the label/Publisher list spelling is correct)

I know a little joke about BB

A guy was a great fan of Brigitte Bardot
As a surprise his wife had her bottum tattood with a capital B on each side
On his birthday she bend over to show this surprise
The man answered "BoB" ??? I don't know anybody in this name.

The BAB RYF release was in 2005 (?) as back sleeve says.

The back sleeve indicates wrong release dates.

Rebel Yell Factory - RYF-009 - says 2005 - it's rather 2015
Rebel Yell Factory - RYF-002 - says 2004 - it's rather 2014
Rebel Yell Factory - RYF-003 - says 2004 - it's rather 2014

I bought them in june 2015. And they were not second hand records.

A question to other collectors Who have bought them too : do you remember when ?

Edit.

I finally get informations from someone who bought these records 10 years ago.
So I was wrong about the release dates.

I bought two of them a couple of weeks ago, but from a collector who sells his collection. I would say 2004/05 is correct, because there's no CMR or Hotwacks review. They're so rare that they weren't really discovered till 2014/15, though.
On the other hand RYF's More Fast Numbers was not even mentioned in the reviews of the DAC version - that would speak for 2014/15.

The "new" It's a Lie has been in the Rarest Outtakes for a while [iorr.org] ;-)

Had missed the new RnR, downloading RY009 now and will add it.

As for sources for the B&B sessions I'm surprised to hear that there are others than the tape Vermeille stole from Keith when he interviewed him...at least for the tracks that have been circulating for years. Of course the longer "I Love Ladies" must come from somewhere else.

DAC-104 - tracks 16/17/18

A 16 8st 7'10 Memory Motel instrumental
A 17 8m 6'11 I Love The Ladies mono complete
A 18 8st 5'04 Hot Stuff stereo

A-17 probably comes from the "Vermeille tape" (similar sound (but lower quality) - same length).
A16 & A-18 seems to come from a different source (different sound : very metalic & downgraded quality).
