My good old friend Luc (username Tioms), decided to open his box to listen to the LPs.
He ripped them to mp3 (128 kbps) and asked me to post a link with 2 tracks; "Honky Tonk Women" and "Tumbling Dice" here on IORR.
In my old ears this certainly sounds as a soundboard!

Please do not ask me to put up any other tracks; I can't.

The quality is really good. This is 100% soundboard. The vocals are more upfront and there's less audience in the mix compared to the Brixton multitrack. Chuck is also high in the mix. My only real complaint is the lack of bass in the mix. That bassy bottom end isn't really there.

There are some pitch changes at the end of HTW but I guess it has to do with the record player this was recorded from (needle pressure of something).

This is also only 128kpbs MP3 it will sound better in full resolution!

Thanks for the samples. They sound great considering they are only 128kbit. Guess they might need a little EQ here and to sound even. I like that the source is a more dry mixdown of the multitrack with less audience than Brixton.
If anyone needs more audience a matrix could easily been done.

I hope the LPs will be available soon at the usual dealers. Can't wait for them to arrive.

Interesting to know is that ''Tumbling Dice'' which you uploaded is the same version as officially released on the ''Rarities 1971-2003'' compilation, notice how much better it sounds there. That's the difference between raw soundboard and professionally mixed multitrack I guess.
