Request: Clemson 1989
Posted by: ThumpinJackFlash ()

Hi! I was wondering if anyone had audio from the Clemson, South Carolina show in November, 1989. I checked the Concert Archive Directory but the links didn't work.

I have a relative who went to college at Clemson and attended this show during their time there.

Thanks in advance!

Yeah the other one was taped by SC taper Doodee. Imo it's better (less loud less distorted) than the one Chris posted here.

And no I won't post it cos I don't have it anymore (just a few tracks).

Just started listening and Mick says that the concert is being recorded. This we already knew, due to Flashpoint, but that means there's a full soundboard out there somewhere.

Maybe someday it'll emerge. Hopefully.

To me that means that the Rolling Stones have got a full professional soundboard recording as they do since many years with all their concerts.

Thank you very much for sharing Clemson Chris! Could you or other fans tell something about this source? In other words 'The info file'

I have SC taper Doodee version but that one is sadly incomplete. Missing songs.

It's the CK Label version and I found it, as I did with so many, in the "Post: 1989 Tour Archive"( [www.iorr.org] ).

People tend to forget that the Tour archives and the Stonesvault contain lots of links to shows.

When I see someone asking for a show, I always consult the Archives and the Stonesvault first, and if I can't find them there, I try my database smiling smiley

Anyone got a copy of the Clemson official track (Gimme Shelter) that apparently was released as a 7" in 1993 for homeless people?

Hey Guy's found this in my Attic - AM Productions-261189 - 'Hurricane Hugo Benefit'.

Not sure of the recording details, but would have been a low generation tape transferred to Cdr on my label ,sounds like the Stones were on fire that night.
Perhaps the Tape is running a bit too fast. They sound mighy fine...
