Supposing you work with Windows, Mr. Google says: Burn an ISO image to CD, DVD or Blu-ray on Windows

hope this helps!

Thanks for the attempt, when I right click on the .iso image I don't get Burn To Disc as an option. I downloaded a program called WinIso and tried to burn a copy, it got to 37& in an hour but seemed to be stuck there...think I'm going to have to break down and buy a copy!smiling smiley

"....right click on the .iso image I don't get Burn To Disc as an option"

it's called isoburn.exe and is located in your system32 folder.
so if it loses the association:
rightclick - open with - browse
go to C:\Windows\System32\isoburn.exe
and make it 'open it with that from now on'

go to C:\Windows\System32\isoburn.exe
rightclick on isoburn.exe - run as administrator

"......winIso ......it got to 37& in an hour but seemed to be stuck there......
think I'm going to have to break down"

if this doesn't work, you've got problems in your windows installation

I just installed Windows 10 on my machine the other day, I found isoburn.exe under System 32 and clicked on Run As Administrator...what do I do next? Thanks for your help.

Try this. ImgBurn is FREE.

you found isoburn.exe on your computer, now set isoburn.exe to the default program to handle iso-files
w10 gives you several ways to change the default program associations.
here are some ways to point your files towards the programs you want to use them with:
choose a default

however, there's a bug in native windows blu-ray burning function
"....bluray and it is 23gigs...."
burning operations fail if you try to write more than 22gb to a single layered bd-r
instead of offering a patch, a hotfix or a solution to the problem,
microsoft's only suggestion is to work around the bug by not burning more than 22gb......shame shame shame

i suggest you use image burn to burn iso

write image file to disc

Hi Mr D,
Are you able to play the iso file with VLC Media Player?

ISO is an image file and VLC Media Player can play those files.

Also you can extract the ISO file with WINRAR, WINZIP or any other compression prgorams. Than after extracting it you can have the BLURAY files and play it with other media players that play Blurays.
