I see this is on RSVP, but with a 6/10 rating. Is it any good? I love the 1978 stuff, and the gig was supposedly great, so I wondered if this is worth buying?

Speaking of 1978 shows, can anyone speak to the sound quality and performance level of the set listed below?

ive got" garden state 78 " VGP-253.& i like the sound ....not as good as an official release,, but decent ...this was early on in the tour & they sound very raw..which some people like about those old tours ,,,the mix is good ya can here every1,,,its got its sweet spots,,,,i like, down the line ,,whip,,lov in vain souund 8.5,,, perf.8,,,if ya got handsome girls this early raw sound is totally different

If it is a 6 it is hard to imagine what 1-5 would be. On that scale a blank tape would be a 5. This is possibly one of the worst DVDs ever attempted to be sold.

The Passaic recording on VGP-278 "OUT ON BAIL" is far better than e. g. VGP-253 "GARDEN STATE" and "OUT ON BAIL" on Swingin' Pig. It's in superb ass kicking quality taken from the vinyl album but without crackles! This is the definitive Passaic recording!

Hello! Are you sure about the quality of the VGP release, or is it secondhand information? I got the TSP version, is a upgrade needed?

Yes, the VGP-278 release is the best around.
