POST: cassette archive (volume 1)
Posted by: Zagalo ()
Date: May 12, 2015 03:52

With many thanks to kitoise for providing the 25 cassette tapes (he has lots more apparently!) - now converted to 320mp3
(I also have them in flac - but the origins of these tapes are many and varied, through trades, etc)
If anybody wants anything in particualar in flac, please ask.
I have kept as much as possible intact from the original tapes - minimal 'tweaks' where necesaary (only rarely) to boost the sound - but only on interviews
*** Forgot to say that anything not posted is either too poor quality or probably 'official' stuff ***
*** FLAC links now added ***

Wow, that looks great ! Any chance you could consider uploading them to mega.co.nz so that we don't have to deal with the unpleasant limitations of filefactory ?

If only I'd kept my Stones cassettes! My Mobile 72 cassette had Chip telling the audience that the squatters between the front rows and the open area in front of the stage "are here," and to move their chairs out of the area by passing them over their heads. I have not heard this or known anybody else to be aware of it except me.

I also had a Chicago 72 call in show about the three concerts. I'm going to go find a mule and have it kick me in the head!!

BTW, what is RTL?

I don't have that many myself - including concerts bought and traded - posted them on here a few years ago (probably on Stonesvault)...always worth hanging on to...if you can of course...not always easy!
RTL is a European media group with several TV and radio stations

I still have volume 3 to post - then I will look at the 'lossless' posting.
To reiterate though - these are recordings from old tapes of recordings from indeterminate origins - so the difference will really be minimal...
