Post : Paris 85 sessions low gen tape

Hi everyone,

Sometimes ago, FijiKeys has uploaded some tracks from the Paris Sessions 85.
This week, somebody sent me a PM which say :

" I've been amazed to learn that these tracks were hidden somewhere over the rainbow and have just surfaced now, because tapes were circulating into the trading circle since years.
The thing with these tapes, is that the guys who shared or sold their copies already got copies from the master tapes !
Some were made on TDK SA if you were lucky enuff , some others on crappy cassettes.
After a quick listen on FijiKeys tape, it seems that the tracks which will be share here come from a lower generation."

No change have been made, though some cuts are different.
This guy in the shadow is OK to share this stuff here if I don't mention his name.

Thanks To FijiKeys without whom this post won't exist.

Big Thanks to The Guy In The Shadow for sharing this low gen tape here.
Please be patient, I upload tracks as soon as I get them.

Thanks!

But what is the difference with the outside-the-studio-recordings on 30 Years Dirty Work Sessions, as by RSkinno?

Alex.

Rskinno reworked the recording shared by Fujikeys, this is another version with another lineage of the same tape(s).

I remember on Sticky fingers journal a trade I made with one guy saying the tape were given by Ronnie. True or false ?? I was supposed to receive it but the guy did not send anything.

"we know it's a bit late but we hope you don't mind if we stay"

These tapes are available since, well, 1985, including a 30 to 50 minute video shot outside and inside the studio. The inside footage has the Stones videod from the mixing desk through the glass.

If anyone has a Video2000 player....

It's the Stones "Basement Tapes"!

Rough sound, plenty of covers, a bunch of original numbers not to be found elsewhere and a totally enjoyable listening experience : "Key To The Highway" is splendid!

Thanks for your effort, MidnightRambler, but it seems the tapes of "Mr. Shadow" do have better information on them as Honestman is able to clarify the second upload is "with tracks from Feb.27.1985 (late night) - Feb 28 (early morning)".

NZ :

session on 27.2.85, incl.:

- Breakin' (MJ/KR) -KR on vocals; various takes

- These Arms Of Mine (Allen Toussaint)

- Key To the Highway (William Broonzy/Charles Segar) -KR on vocals; various takes

- instrumental rock/blues jam ( )

Thank you Honestman. Thanks to the people who recorded. Thanks to NZ for his everlasting research : He deserves a "Prix Nobel".

A part of the melody of Breakin' is very similar to a part of 'I Can't See Nobody / Beside You" - And If you listen to Breakin' KR 1987 sessions ... It's the same melody played on guitar ...

Am I the only one to hear this ?
